Disney Princesses Jumpers: Castle or Panel Style Either Jumper can safely accomodate up to 10 children under 12. RETURN TO GALLERY * CREATE INVITATION * THEME PARTY IDEAS
Two Styles now instock - Castle or Theme Panel Jump Each features: Snow White, Jasmine, Cinderella, Belle and Sleeping Beauty You don't need a magic wand or fairy dust to pull off a truly fanciful party fit for any little princess! Just rent either of our Disney Princess jumpers and follow our suggestions below! Invitations - Purchase invitations at your local party supply store, or use our free DIY Appian personalized invitation script! These feature the jump you rent (links are available at each jump page) and can be printed or saved for emailing. Alternatively, you may want to craft your own invitations. Print or hand-write them on parchment paper -- enlist the help of a friend who knows calligraphy for maximum effect! Create a pretty border around the edges with a glitter glue stick, or decorate with Disney Princess stickers. Roll the invitations into scrolls and tie with pink ribbon. Hand-deliver, or mail in small tube mailers or small boxes. Your Disney Princess party will be a magical affair, and
you should word the invitations accordingly: "The fairy godmother
has requested the presence of Princess (guest's name) at the magical
Disney Princess birthday party celebration for Princess (your daughter's
name) on (date). Your carriage or magic carpet should transport you
to the Royal (your last name) Castle, (address) for bippity-boppity
fun at (time)." Include your phone number for RSVPs. If you choose to make the princess hats described in the Party Favors section below, purchase extra tulle or chiffon and use generous swaths of fabric to wrap around staircases and drape from doorways or around door frames. For extra "enchantment," tuck strings of white Christmas lights inside the swaths. The fabric can also be tied around chair backs so every child feels she is sitting on a throne at lunch/cake time. Other fabric decorations might include a red "carpet" laid at the entrance to your home. See our Links section at the bottom of this page for even more decoration resources and ideas! Arrival Activities/Icebreakers - Present your guests with tiaras or princess hats (see Party Favors below) upon their arrival. If you've swathed a doorway in fabric and lights, snap a picture of each guest in front of the display after they've put on their tiara or hat. These pictures can be tucked into thank you notes later -- parents will appreciate the extra thought! Party Activities - Your party guests will spend much of their time bouncing around in our Disney Princess jumper, but you may want to have a few other activities planned to add to the fun and make the day a memorable one. Get things started with a scavenger hunt! Purchase a large quantity of colorful, inexpensive glass or plastic beads, along with plastic cording. (See our Links section below for an all-inclusive pink bead kit.) Before guests arrive, portion the supplies into individual bags for necklace or bracelet making and hide throughout your party location. Tell the girls their fairy godmothers have all been to your house and they've hidden bags of magic jewels for them to find. If there are eight girls at the party, tell them they must all work together to find eight sets of jewels. Once all the bags are found, the girls will each have a project to do! Show them how to string their beads and clasp or tie the ends together. Each girl will then have her very own magical princess necklace to take home as a party keepsake. As a certain amount of coordination and patience is required for this project, it is probably best suited for girls ages 6 and up. For a younger group of girls, pre-make the jewelry, or hide inexpensive costume jewelry or plastic rings like those you'd get from a gum ball machine. Use squares of scrap fabric, rugs or towels to play "Jasmine's musical magic carpets," a princess version of musical chairs. There are plenty of pin the tail on the donkey variations you can do with the Disney Princess theme, but our favorite is "Pin the kiss on the frog." On large green construction paper, draw a simple outline of a frog. Don't worry if you've not much artistic ability! Draw a fat hourglass shape figure with a rounded top and bottom, and add two webbed feet at the bottom. Make the frog's eyes out circles cut from white construction paper and glue them behind the frog's head, with most of each circle peeking out on top. With a black marker, color in the frog's pupils and add a nose. Leave the mouth area blank, and cut from red construction paper pairs of lips equal to the number of party guests, and affix tape to the backs. Tape your frog to a wall. Blindfold each girl, spin her around twice and point her in the frog's direction. See who can "kiss" the frog the best! Rent our bubble machine and play "Magic Wish Bubbles." Tell each girl to silently make one wish and start making the bubbles. Tell the girls to try to pop the bubbles before they hit the ground and to keep track of how many they pop. If they pop 10 bubbles, their wish will come true! This is harder - and probably funnier -- than it sounds because the girls will be competing for each bubble. Give the girls a large area to play this game and make lots of bubbles to reduce the risk of injury! Food and Beverage - You are what you eat, so the saying goes, so serve your little princesses dainty finger foods a la tea party fun. Serve a fancy tray of sandwiches, cut in quarters, such as ham and cheese, cream cheese and berry preserves, peanut butter and jelly, and egg or tuna/chicken salad. Complement the finger sandwiches with strawberries dipped in powdered sugar, pink frosted sugar cookies, and pink lemonade served in teacups or plastic goblets. You can always purchase a ready-made Disney Princess birthday cake from a local baker or grocery store, but for a truly spectacular royal homemade birthday cake recipe, see our Links section below. Party Favors and Prizes - Turn your guests into little princesses themselves by presenting them with the proper accessories! See our Links section below to purchase pre-made crowns or tiaras, or a tiara-making craft kit. Alternatively, prior to the day of the party make princess hats for each of the girls. A princess hat is easily made from 15x24-inch sturdy poster board rolled into a cone shape, leaving an opening the size of a quarter at the top. (You'll need to trim the bottom for a level edge). Use hot glue or staples to secure the shape of the cone. Next, use hot glue or staples to affix a train of sheer fabric, such as tulle or chiffon, on the inside of the cone. Gently pull the fabric through the top opening and fluff. Staple a chin strap in place, made either of elastic or other string which can be tied. Music - Royal Brass, Empire Brass Quintet, Telarc
Records (1990).
